As the girls arrived they helped themselves to hot cocoa, and once settled we went right to work on our first project - felted soap. Felted soaps are a real treat and are sold in stores like Anthropologie and Fiat Luxe. We used a natural and wintry peppermint soap, as well as a relaxing lavender blend.
The girls wrapped the soap with colorful merino wool, and used a wet felting technique to create the exterior.

Once the soaps were felted they were set aside to dry until next week. We then went on a nature walk to enjoy the beautiful brisk day.

When we returned we began our secondary project. Winter candles. We used the packing tape transfer method to decorate them. The transfers add a translucent image to the glass that adds to the glow.
We closed our wintry session with s'mores.
