THIS IS THE BLOG/DIARY FOR MIGHTY GIRL ART™! OUR NEW WEBSITE IS LOCATED HERE!

* The purpose of our documentation is to provide a window into the creative process and the interactions within our circle. It keeps the memory of our work together alive and offers a touchstone to revisit later for further reflection by the facilitators, the parents and the children.

Women are the primary resource of the planet. They give birth, we come from them. They are mothers, they are visionaries, they are the future. If we can figure out how to make women feel safe and honor women, it would be parallel or equal to honoring life itself."

100 Things to do in a Forest

I know that many a mighty one is missing our workshop and the connection to nature and creativity that it nourishes.  We look forward to gathering again once it is safe to do.  In the meantime the generous folks at Laurence King Publishing has sent this wonderful book for our camp, as well as these pages to enjoy when you are able to take a walk in the forest with your family.

100 Things to do in a Forest by Jennifer Davis is a delightful guide of activities to do while wandering.  It's packed with all sorts of fun things like stream hopping, walking sticks, land art, beads and more.  This book will not only bring back fond memories of Mighty Girl Art, but inspire you to make new memories with your loved ones.

Here's a bracelet that I made with foraged Hawthorn berries and some land art in the understory...
