Week One : Away From the Rushing World

Winter is the best time
to find out who you are.

Quiet, contemplation time,
away from the rushing world,

cold time, dark time, holed-up
pulled-in time and space

to see that inner landscape,
that place hidden and within.

It was a beautiful sunny November morning.  The fire was crackling in the fire pit while the music played softly in the studio.  One by one they arrived and filled their cups with hot cocoa then chatted about all manner of things.   Once everyone felt settled and sated, we hiked into the forest for some sketching.








Thoroughly invigorated and eager to start our projects, we headed back to the studio to begin working on our mugs.  The mugs will be fired tonight and ready to use next week!





Our afternoon group finished their mugs early so we started a secondary project...paper stars!  The girls were very excited about making more stars at home and hanging them in their rooms. 




Of course we finished the morning with S'mores...
