As the girls arrived, they got busy painting themselves while waiting for the others to arrive.

After the girls explored their morning gifts, we got back to work on our art journals, adding painted backgrounds and textures. We will be adding more layers and elements in the days to come.
Everyone was in the creative flow so we decided to forgo our nature walk today and have a quick snack before beginning our secondary project.
And that's precisely when nature decided to come to us.
Hawk paid us a visit today.
We heard hawk's call and saw it's shadow on the grass before we caught a glimpse just as it disappeared over the tree tops at the far end of the meadow.
Hawk is a Native American totem that is thought to be a messenger, protector and visionary. Hawk inspires the imagination and reminds us that there are many uses for our creative energy.
While the journals dried in the sun, we ate our snacks before beginning our secondary project...
Mason Jar Terrarium Lanterns: These lanterns will remind us to let the light of our soul guide us and bless the work that we do in the world.
The jars were a gift from the generous folks at Ball brand Canning Jars. Ball brand Canning Jars was founded by five brothers, Edmund, Frank, George, Lucius and William, in 1880. They began by making wood-jacketed tin cans for products like paint and kerosene. The brothers began making glass home-canning jars in 1884.
Thank you, Ball brand Canning Jars, for your generosity and support!!!
*LED lids, handles, and embellishments were purchased at our local craft store.
Made so & rooted by love,
