A Letter to the Mighty Girls

















Dear Mighty Girls,

I can't wait to meet you all this Monday...to hold presence for you, and with you. It is an honor for me to spend this week with you creating in the Mighty Tipi, our super cool girl fort! I am overwhelmed by gratitude this morning...grateful to all the kindred souls for their generosity and support in helping me to do what I love doing.

To echo the words of Walt Whitman:

I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.
I loaf and invite my soul...
Born here of parents born here from parents the same, and their parents the same.

I have perceived that to be with those I like is enough...
To be surrounded by beautiful, curious, breathing, laughing flesh is enough...
I do not ask any more delight, I swim in it, as in a sea.
